Aspect Australia, also known as Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect), is an autism-specific organisation that has supported Autistic people and their families since 1966. Founded as a small parent-led school in Forestville, it has grown into one of Australia’s largest autism-specific service providers, with offices in New South Wales, the ACT, South Australia and Victoria, and services offered across the country. Aspect provides education through its schools and distance education, as well as assessment and diagnosis, therapy, Positive Behaviour Support and adult community services.
Its programs support learning, wellbeing, connection and participation, including opportunities for adults to try activities and develop skills in their communities. The organisation also offers autism-friendly initiatives, professional development, training and workshops, and employment-related services. Through its research arm, Aspect shares evidence-informed resources and findings and invites people to take part in research.
