ASPEN ALPACA

Aspen Alpaca Company is a family-run alpaca operation based in Priest River, in northern Idaho near Sandpoint. The company focuses on breeding and selling high-quality alpacas to breeders, selecting for soundness, uniformity, fleece fineness, density and conformation. Its herd includes champion animals and elite genetics, with featured herdsires such as Black Destiny of Irish Meadows and FTAF’s Privateer. The website lists alpacas for sale and stud services, including a featured stud fee, and highlights animals with championship and banner-winning records.

Aspen Alpaca Company emphasizes hands-on animal care and says the alpacas it sells are guaranteed. Its daily interaction with the herd is intended to support healthy, calm and friendly animals. The farm houses its alpacas in custom-designed barns with separate areas for breeding males and visiting females, and for pregnant females and crias. Facilities include automatic waterers, a veterinary room and security lighting. The company has also managed USDA quarantines for alpaca sales to Canada and several European countries, and its website features Maremma guard dogs, customer testimonials and a store.
