Iron Butt Association México, also known as Asphalt Rats Endurance Motorcycling México or AREM, promotes responsible and safe endurance motorcycling, long-distance riding, and adventure. Established in 2010, the organization describes itself as a pioneer of endurance motorcycling in Mexico and connects riders with challenges, rallies, and resources for planning and documenting long-distance rides.
Its offerings include rally calendars, membership information, personal rally documentation guidance, rules, category details, and records recognizing riders who have achieved milestones in Mexico. Riders can explore common and specialized challenges, including programs such as Vagabundo Challenge, Nomad Expedition, Mile Eater Program, Cuatro Estaciones, Scavenger, Triple Crown, and The Rattlesnake Run. The site also provides rally terminology, riding tips, motorcycle inspection guidance, tire-selection information, and recommendations for rider safety equipment.
The organization shares information about member-only merchandise and resources for finding motorcycle services, accommodations, insurance, mechanics, and training. It also highlights Fundación Ángel Flight México, a nonprofit that transports vulnerable patients and has assisted injured motorcyclists with medical logistics.
