Aspiring Aviators Aero Club (AAAC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based at Winter Haven Regional Airport in Winter Haven, Florida. Founded in 2020, the organization serves teenagers in Central Florida and Polk County, using aviation to support education, mentorship, personal growth, and aerospace career exploration. Its programs give young people practical experience and guidance in a collaborative setting.
Members develop technical skills through aircraft rebuilds, system maintenance, and restoration projects, working alongside pilots, mechanics, engineers, and military veterans. AAAC also offers discovery flights and flight experiences, and helps students explore pathways into aviation and aerospace careers. Alongside hands-on learning, the club emphasizes teamwork, problem-solving, confidence, character, and leadership. Its students have pursued pilot certificates, military service, and studies at engineering universities.
In 2027, AAAC plans to participate in the Experimental Aircraft Association’s One Week Wonder at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, where students and mentors will help build an airplane from a kit in seven days.
