About ASPP
ASPP, short for Associação Sindical dos Profissionais da Polícia, is a professional association representing the majority of professionals in the Polícia de Segurança Pública (Public Security Police) in Portugal. With a history dating back to the Revolution of April 25, 1974, ASPP has been advocating for the interests and rights of its members for over 40 years. As an independent and autonomous union, ASPP works tirelessly to defend and promote the professional prestige of its members and the police force as a whole.
They aim to represent and safeguard the professional, material, moral, and social interests of their members, while also actively contributing to the legislation, organization, and functioning of the institution. Offering courses, conferences, and seminars, ASPP encourages continuous professional and personal development for their members. Additionally, they provide legal and union assistance to members in conflict situations or work-related accidents.
ASPP also fosters solidarity, camaraderie, and mutual support among its members. By joining ASPP, members not only gain access to numerous benefits but also contribute to a stronger and more united police force
