About ASRC
The Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) is Australia's largest human rights organization that provides essential support to individuals seeking asylum. Established in 2001, the ASRC offers a wide range of programs aimed at maximizing the physical, mental, and social well-being of people seeking asylum. As a community-led organization, the ASRC champions the rights of asylum seekers and advocates for lasting social and policy change.
Starting as a small Foodbank initiative, the ASRC has grown to become the leading independent organization for refugees and people seeking asylum in the country. Today, they deliver more services on the ground than any other asylum seeker organization, offering over 40 holistic programs that protect individuals from persecution, provide support for well-being and dignity, and empower them to shape their own futures. The ASRC is proudly owned and run by the community, with over 100 staff members and 1,000 dedicated volunteers supporting approximately 7,000 individuals seeking asylum each year.
Their vision is to create a world where asylum seekers can live safely, sustainably, independently, and equally. By donating, you can contribute to their mission of relieving hunger, providing safe housing, and offering medical care to those in need. Join the ASRC community to stay informed, take action, and support refugees and asylum seekers on their journey towards a better future
