A sua missão é a de: - Contribuir para o desenvolvimento tecnológico e económico do setor; - Intervir de uma forma consolidada e estruturada junto dos organismos oficiais, em defesa e representação do setor; - Promover o contacto entre os associados e a sua atuação comercial conjunta, aproveitando sinergias e potenciando a capacidade de actuação comercial no mercado; - Promover o contacto e a interligação com organismos e associações representativas de setores a montante e a jusante; - Promover a colaboração com organismos congéneres nacionais e estrangeiros.
