ASSIST Scholars

Assist Scholars is a U. S. -based nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering academically talented and multi-lingual international students.

Our mission is to match these exceptional students with American independent secondary schools for a one-year cultural immersion experience. As cultural ambassadors, our Assist Scholar-leaders actively engage in classes and extracurricular activities, bringing their diverse perspectives and enriching the school community. By fostering cross-cultural understanding and collaboration, we believe that these scholars contribute to a more inclusive learning environment.

Since our establishment in 1969, we have successfully matched 5,050 student scholar-leaders from 52 nations with ASSIST-affiliated schools. Our focus is on providing opportunities for students who are often underrepresented in independent school populations. At Assist Scholars, we are committed to helping these talented individuals reach their full potential and make a positive impact in the world.
