Assist With Plants is a private field journal that helps people and their chosen AI keep useful, lasting records about the plants they care for or encounter. Users can organize plants by place and build dated timelines containing photographs, measurements, care notes, harvests, questions, and research. These records give an AI relevant history to consult, so its responses can draw on a plant’s past rather than relying only on general information.

The service is designed to work with an AI app that supports a custom connector, and users can change AI tools while keeping their records. They can also start a journal without connecting an AI, or add an AI’s findings themselves. Assist With Plants describes the AI as a helper for identifying plants, researching care, comparing symptoms, and explaining possible causes; people remain responsible for real-world decisions and actions. Records are private by default and visible to the signed-in user and AI connections they approve.
