The Portuguese Association for the Rights of Women During Pregnancy and Childbirth is an organisation dedicated to defending women’s rights throughout pregnancy and birth. Its work is grounded in promoting respect for human rights and supporting women’s ability to make informed choices about their care and birth experiences.

The association shares information and resources through its website, including documents, a blog, and material about its projects. It also lists training activities, campaigns, and events as part of its work to raise awareness and advance its cause. Its message recognises that pregnancy and childbirth experiences differ: families may make different choices, and births may take place at home or in hospital, including by caesarean. The association emphasises the importance of access to information and understanding how the body works, so women can navigate their own decisions.

Visitors can learn about the organisation, explore its initiatives, contact the team, and find ways to support its cause. Overall, the association works to promote respect, information, and women’s rights during pregnancy and childbirth.
