Associação Rainha Dona Beatriz

Associação Rainha Dona Beatriz is a Portuguese association established in 1964, with its first statutes approved by ministerial order that year. It operates a residential home for older women and has a cooperation agreement with the Institute of Social Security covering 31 residents. The association’s mission is to welcome residents and provide services that support their quality of life, health, and independence within a shared living environment. It also aims to foster companionship, happiness, and well-being.

The organisation’s vision is to become a respected residential care facility for older people, offering a diverse range of high-quality services. Its approach is informed by the study of human ageing and guided by a commitment to innovation in developing appropriate responses, competence and promptness in assessing risks and finding solutions, and equal treatment that respects individual differences. Humanising personal and interpersonal relationships is another central value. Through its residential care and support, Associação Rainha Dona Beatriz seeks to provide older women with a healthy, welcoming setting that promotes dignity and well-being.
