Association-Loisirs-Jeunescom

L’Association pour les Loisirs des Jeunes (ALJ) is a community association based in Linselles, created around 30 years ago to give young people opportunities for recreation and personal development. Its activities bring children, teenagers, families and volunteers together through clubs, educational support and public events.

ALJ’s clubs include guitar sessions held on Tuesdays, with activities adapted to participants’ experience, and a theatre group that meets on Wednesday evenings to prepare an annual performance. Members contribute to choosing the play and creating its sets, costumes and props. The association also provides volunteer-led school support for primary and lower-secondary students in Bousbecque and Linselles.

Its events include the Challenge RAID, a two-day cycling competition in the Lys Valley that has taken place since 1995, and the Journées du Jeu, a family-focused event combining play and learning. ALJ also organizes the Contest Trott & Skate, bringing scooter and skateboard enthusiasts together for a friendly competition. Through these varied programmes, the association promotes shared experiences and young people’s growth through leisure.
