**Brand Description for BIAPT**
The British International Association for Political Thought (BIAPT) is dedicated to advancing the study of diverse branches of political thought, embracing analytical political philosophy, continental theory, and the historical foundations of political ideologies. The Association recognizes the challenges posed by the interdisciplinary nature of political thought, which often becomes marginalized in academic discourse across fields such as political science, philosophy, law, and sociology.
BIAPT aims to advocate for the significance of political thought in both teaching and research, while facilitating scholarly collaboration among practitioners. It actively represents the interests of political thought to governmental and non-governmental entities, securing its position within academic circles. Additionally, BIAPT hosts the annual Political Thought Conference, fostering dialogue and promoting excellence through Early- and Mid-Career Prizes for outstanding scholars in Britain and Ireland. By forging connections with related organizations globally, BIAPT plays a crucial role in enriching academic discourse and supporting research activities across the political thought spectrum.
