L’Associazione Musicale Giovanni Bottesini nasce dall’entusiasmo di giovani cremaschi amanti della musica e della loro città. Crema vanta un’importante storia musicale che si è espressa fin dal 600 grazie a figure come Francesco Cavalli, Giuseppe Gazzaniga, Stefano Pavesi, Vincenzo Petrali e Giovanni Bottesini. Da qui il desiderio di valorizzare il patrimonio musicale cremasco con la realizzazione di eventi musicali e culturali di alta qualità e di respiro internazionale. Nel corso degli anni gli sforzi dell’Associazione si sono concentrati sempre più nella promozione della musica e della lirica, con particolare attenzione al sostegno e alla scoperta di giovani talenti. I principali progetti dell'Associazione sono: CLIP - Concorso Lirico Internazionale di Portofino; IBC - International Bottesini Competition; CMC - Cavalli Monteverdi Competition; Orchestra Bottesini. The Musical Association Giovanni Bottesini is born from the enthusiasm of young individuals from Crema, who love music and their city. Crema boasts of an important musical history, which has expressed itself since 1600, thanks to figures such as Francesco Cavalli, Giuseppe Gazzaniga, Stefano Pavesi, Vincenzo Petrali and Giovanni Bottesini. Hence the desire to give value to the musical heritage of Crema by organizing excellent musical and cultural events of international value. Over the years, the Association’s efforts have increasingly been focused on the promotion of music and opera, with special attention to the supporting and discovering of new talents. The Association's main projects are: CLIP - Portofino International Opera Singing Competition; IBC - International Bottesini Competition; CMC - Cavalli Monteverdi Competition; Orchestra Bottesini.
