l’Associazione il Glicine

Il Glicine is a volunteer association based in Isola del Liri, Italy, dedicated to cancer prevention, health awareness and support for people affected by cancer and their families. Registered as a Volunteer Organization, it works to make prevention accessible and welcoming by bringing information and screening initiatives directly to local communities. Its activities focus on secondary prevention, including preventive screenings and early-detection awareness, alongside public education about prevention and health.

The association also promotes oncology volunteering and music therapy, offering human and relational support to patients. Since 2017, it has carried out a music therapy and oncology volunteering project at Casa delle Farfalle, a long-term care facility in Isola del Liri, and has renewed its collaboration there. Il Glicine organizes community activities and events that connect health promotion with participation, including sports initiatives supporting cancer-prevention awareness. Through its team of volunteers and scientific coordinators, the association aims to encourage informed prevention and help patients feel supported within their family and social communities.
