ODV Il Sorriso di Teresa is a nonprofit association dedicated to supporting its community through health initiatives, practical assistance, and fundraising activities. Its message, “Prevention is the best cure,” is reflected in Ottobre in Rosa, the association’s annual initiative promoting breast health. For the 2026 program, free mammography and ultrasound appointments are scheduled to become available for booking from October 1.

The association also helps people and families facing difficult circumstances. In collaboration with Cooperativa Parma Assistenza alla Famiglia, it offers 15 hours of home assistance per month to people who are tired, undergoing treatment, bedridden, or unable to manage everyday tasks on their own.

Community support sustains this work. People can contribute through Italy’s 5x1000 tax donation, attend association events, or choose charitable favors for occasions such as baptisms, communions, confirmations, and weddings. Fundraising events, including dinners and seasonal gatherings, support the annual Ottobre in Rosa initiative. The association also provides information about services, regional contributions, and partner conventions.
