Associazione Marina

Associazione Marina is a nautical and recreational fishing association based in Salerno, Italy. Its roots lie in the efforts of local boat owners and sea enthusiasts who organized to protect access to their boats as the city’s commercial port developed. Beginning as a small sports club, the group later became the Associazione Nautica e di Pesca Sportiva Marina and secured a maritime concession for members’ moorings. It helped introduce floating pontoons in Salerno, creating berthing facilities for local boats and vessels visiting under Italian and foreign flags.

Today, the association’s work centers on recreational boating, sport fishing, and access to the sea. It provides mooring areas for members’ boats and supports nautical tourism through its port facilities. The association also promotes maritime knowledge and safety. Its educational activities have included public seminars on scuba diving, safe conduct at sea, marine-animal injuries, basic life support, underwater equipment, and diving-center responsibilities, alongside practical outings and video presentations about the Mediterranean and local marine environments.
