Asteria Aerospace

Asteria Aerospace is an unincorporated group focused on developing rockets and designing and building spacecraft with the long-term goal of reaching space. Its work combines physical hardware development with engineering design and software modeling, and the team aims to explore unconventional solutions within the aerospace field.

The group’s activities span three main areas. In rocket design, Asteria Aerospace is developing and flying high-power sounding rockets. It reports a current altitude record of one kilometer above ground level and expects to improve on it as development continues. In spacecraft design, the team brainstorms mission concepts and creates full-scale software models of spacecraft intended for orbital and planetary exploration. Its spacecraft construction work is newer and centers on developing small CubeSats from design concepts into complete spacecraft. Asteria Aerospace is exploring the possibility of flying these vehicles on dedicated rideshare missions, with an interest in making low-cost access to orbital spaceflight more achievable.
