AstroAccess is an innovative project that champions disability inclusion in human space exploration. Founded in 2021, the organization aims to create pathways for disabled astronauts by conducting microgravity missions where individuals from diverse backgrounds, including scientists, veterans, students, and artists, experience weightlessness and test accessibility tools aboard parabolic flights. These missions not only serve as a first step towards a more inclusive space program but also allow participants, referred to as AstroAccess Ambassadors, to become advocates for global disability access in STEM fields.

AstroAccess is committed to advancing universal design both on Earth and in space. By collaborating with leaders in the aerospace industry and the disability community, they work to ensure that future spacecraft and habitats accommodate all astronauts, regardless of their physical abilities. With a diverse team of over 70 experts, including former NASA scientists and disability advocates, AstroAccess seeks to shift global perspectives on disability and inspire a new generation to envision an inclusive future in exploration.
