AstroAnoia, the Anoia Astronomical Association, is a community of astronomy and science enthusiasts founded in 2009. Based in the Anoia area of Catalonia, the association aims to bring astronomy and science to people of all ages and experience levels. Its activities are open to beginners as well as those with existing knowledge, with a friendly, learn-together approach.
AstroAnoia offers courses in astronomy and astrophotography, along with public observing sessions and workshops, including activities focused on the Sun and solar eclipses. The group also works actively with Pujalt Observatory, where members often meet to observe the sky. Through its working groups, participants can contribute to projects such as a stratospheric balloon initiative and the Catalonia Astronomical Associations Meeting.
The association shares members’ astrophotography and event updates through its website and social media, helping people discover its activities and the night sky. Those interested can join, take part in projects, or contact AstroAnoia to learn more. The group also offers branded T-shirts and fleeces.
