Astrofili Fiemme

Osservatorio Val di Fiemme is an astronomy observatory and public outreach initiative run by Gruppo Astrofili Fiemme, an astronomy enthusiasts’ association established in 1993. Based in Val di Fiemme, the organisation helps visitors discover the beauty and science of the universe through guided observing and educational activities. At the observatory, guests can explore celestial objects through telescopes and enjoy immersive animations in the digital planetarium.

The association also organises public astronomy observations, conferences, seminars and exhibitions, making astronomy accessible to people with different levels of knowledge. Its programme includes seasonal events and talks on subjects such as ancient Egyptian astronomy and the exploration of Mars. Visitors can also follow the “Via dei Pianeti,” a walk through a representation of the Solar System, and view live images from the local weather station webcam.

Observatory visits require advance booking, with information available by phone, WhatsApp or email. Located in the Tesero area, Osservatorio Val di Fiemme offers an engaging way for residents and visitors to learn about the night sky and share in the wonders of space
