**Astronomy On Tap**
Founded in 2013 in New York City by astronomers Meg Schwamb and Emily Rice, Astronomy On Tap (AoT) combines the passion for space with the joys of local social gatherings. With roots in casual, educational events held in pubs, AoT has successfully expanded to host engaging astronomy-related programs across nine U.S. cities and internationally in countries such as Chile and Canada. The organization organizes a diverse array of events, including movie nights featuring films like "Apollo 13," immersive theatrical performances, and expert-led discussions on various space topics.
During the pandemic, AoT adapted by offering remote sessions on platforms like Zoom, which were hugely popular and allowed attendees worldwide to connect with the cosmos from home. Now back to in-person events, AoT is committed to fostering a vibrant community around astronomy.
