Astro Verdon

Astro Verdon is a nonprofit cultural association based in Baudinard-sur-Verdon, in the Haut-Var region of France. Bringing together people with years of experience in astronomy outreach, the association introduces visitors to the night sky in the Verdon Natural Park, including around Lake Sainte-Croix.

Throughout the summer, Astro Verdon organizes public stargazing evenings in Baudinard-sur-Verdon, with occasional activities in nearby towns. The sessions welcome all ages and experience levels, from curious newcomers to budding astronomy enthusiasts, and use telescopes to help participants explore celestial objects. The association also offers private, tailor-made astronomy events for individuals and businesses, bringing its telescopes and activity team to a chosen venue.

Membership starts at €10 per year, with reduced-price or, in some cases, free access to astronomy evenings. Family and group membership options are available, and local members may attend nearly all events free of charge. Astro Verdon also shares seasonal activity updates, event details and astronomy news through its blog and calendar.
