About AS Turner
A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory is a family-owned funeral home based in Decatur, Georgia, serving Metro Atlanta and families throughout Georgia and the Southeast.
Established in 1903, the organization provides compassionate, personalized care to help families honor a loved one and plan meaningful farewells. Its services include traditional funerals, memorial gatherings, burial, cremation, veteran services, and terramation, also known as human organic reduction. The funeral home describes terramation as a carefully managed process that transforms remains into nutrient-rich soil and offers it as an environmentally conscious alternative to burial and cremation.
A. S. Turner & Sons operates an on-site crematory and a state-licensed organic human reduction facility in Georgia.
The team assists with arrangements after a death and advance planning, including preplanning meetings and practical resources. Additional support includes personalization options, funeral merchandise, grief and hospice resources, and guidance on veterans’ benefits and related planning matters. Available 24 hours a day, the funeral home aims to guide families through decisions with dignity, respect, and attentive service
