Aviation Specialties Unlimited (ASU) is a leading brand that has been serving first responders and civilian operators for over 25 years with their night vision solutions. Founded in Boise, Idaho in 1995 by former AH-64 Apache pilot Mike Atwood, ASU has been at the forefront of allowing unrestricted NVG (night vision goggles) use among first responders and law enforcement agencies. ASU has worked closely with the U.
S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and other agencies to establish regulations for night-vision operating. They received Part 135 operational approval from the FAA in 1999, enabling them to install night vision systems.
Their contributions have saved numerous lives and touched many people. ASU offers a wide range of products and services, including NVGs, NVG parts, image tubes, mounts, battery packs, and test equipment. They also provide services such as engineering change orders and pilot training.
With their dedication to safety and continuous innovation, ASU remains committed to keeping people safe by making NVGs accessible to those who risk their lives to help others
