ASV Geldern

A.S.V. Geldern 1950 e.V. is a traditional angling club based in Geldern, on Germany’s Lower Rhine. It brings together people who enjoy fishing and spending time in nature, while promoting responsible care for local waters and sustainable management of fish stocks. The club’s fishing waters include the Heitkampsee, a peaceful lake with varied shoreline and depth zones, and several stretches of the Niers River, which offer a different experience for anglers in flowing water. These settings provide opportunities for both coarse-fishing and predator-fishing enthusiasts.

The club supports an active community through gatherings, events, and shared work days. Its youth group helps young anglers gain practical experience and learn about protecting waters and fish populations. Members can access the club’s waters, and prospective members can find information about joining. Guest anglers may also fish with a valid fishing licence and the appropriate guest permit; access rules vary by water, with Heitkampsee fishing requiring a club member’s company. The website provides details on waters, fishing guidance, events, membership, forms, and contact information.
