The Angelsportverein Hohenahr (ASV-Hohenahr) is a community angling club founded in 1974 in Hohenahr, Germany. It brings together members across different age groups, including active anglers, young people and friends of the association. The club’s fishing waters include two ponds in the Mudersbach area, with a combined surface area of 6,000 square metres and water supplied by the Stadterbach, as well as streams throughout the municipality of Hohenahr.
The ponds contain trout, scaled and mirror carp, pike, zander, eels, tench and various whitefish, alongside mussels and crayfish. The club regularly stocks its waters with different species. Brown trout are stocked mainly in flowing waters, where anglers may also catch roach, perch and chub.
Beyond fishing, ASV-Hohenahr fosters fellowship and a convivial club atmosphere through regular activities and events. These include opening- and closing-season fishing gatherings, participation in Hohenahr’s holiday programme for children, and an annual year-end event. Through its waters, angling opportunities and shared events, the association serves anglers and the wider local community.
