ASV Römersee 1928 e. V. is an independent angling club in the Rhein-Kreis Neuss area, with more than 90 members.
Founded in 1928 by 28 fishing enthusiasts, the club was originally known as Angelsportverein Düsseldorf-Oberkassel 1928 e. V. Its history is closely tied to the Römersee, a former gravel pit near the Neuss city boundary.
The club acquired the site and its waters, which have since developed into a scenic recreational area recognized as a landscape conservation area. Members enjoy fishing at the lake and taking part in the club’s social life, including group fishing events and gatherings held throughout the year. The association also maintains a clubhouse beside the water, rebuilt in the 1960s with modern facilities and a large lake-facing terrace.
