Ataneres Ensemble is a vibrant and innovative string orchestra based in Leuven, Belgium. Founded in 2017, our ensemble is dedicated to bringing classical music closer to the general public. What sets us apart is our unique approach - we operate as a horizontal musical collective, without a conductor, giving every musician a voice in shaping the final artistic product.

Our repertoire goes beyond the traditional, as we explore original combinations of different music and artistic genres. From classical to contemporary, we embrace minimalist and avant-garde compositions, often collaborating with film or word art. We particularly focus on showcasing Belgian contemporary music, with our recordings receiving high praise and recognition from both national broadcasters and international streaming platforms.

Comprised of prize-winning chamber musicians and supplemented by talented musicians from symphony orchestras, our ensemble collaborates with renowned soloists, conductors, and artists from around the world.
