About ATARCA
ATARCA is a brand with a vision to revolutionize decentralized technology and market-style trading for anti-rival goods. Unlike traditional economics, which applies market theory to digital goods based on supply and demand, ATARCA challenges this notion. They believe that economic structures and institutions need a fundamental reform to fully leverage ICT and digital resources.
ATARCA focuses on the unique properties of digital goods, particularly their anti-rivalrous nature, where the value increases when more people use them. They argue that to efficiently allocate digital goods, next-generation governance and reward structures are necessary. They undertake evidence-based research, participatory design, and quantitative analysis to propose design parameters for these new compensation and governance structures.
ATARCA implements their theoretical analysis through three pilot use cases, Barcelona Green Shops, Food Futures, and Streamr Acknowledgement Token. They aim to provide quantified verification of efficient allocation of anti-rival resources in these use cases. By developing anti-rivalrous token systems, ATARCA measures and augments the value contributed by sharing digital goods.
Their goal is to create a decentralized ecosystem where digital goods can be efficiently traded and valued, unlike traditional scarcity-based systems. This project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation program. (Note: The description is 189 words long.
