ATA Martial Arts Traverse City

ATA Martial Arts in Traverse City is dedicated to fostering self-confidence, improving focus, and building physical strength through the practice of Songahm Taekwondo. Founded in February 2020 by a passionate black belt who trained for 15 years, the studio emphasizes a safe, fun, and healthy environment for students of all ages, ranging from 3 years to seniors in their 70s.

The ATA curriculum incorporates six key life skills: discipline, belief, communication, honesty, self-esteem, and respect, which are integrated into physical training and designed to promote positive behavior beyond the dojang. The program not only offers traditional martial arts training but also equips students with real-world self-defense skills.

Participants can enjoy the excitement of martial arts tournaments, competing locally and progressing to national competitions. With over 130,000 members worldwide, ATA Martial Arts helps individuals of all fitness levels reach their maximum potential—challenging boredom and encouraging personal development in a community-focused environment.
