Atelier Aubépine is a landscape design practice established in 2009, working in Paris and across France. The studio conceives and implements projects at a range of scales, from terraces and private gardens to estates, shared residential spaces, institutions and temporary landscapes. Its work brings together durability and aesthetic quality, drawing inspiration from both natural, free-growing vegetation and the character of urban gardens.

Atelier Aubépine approaches each project in relation to its specific place, considering the site’s history, setting and sensory qualities. The practice sees landscape as an experience of space, shaped by how people see, feel and inhabit it. Its design approach considers the interaction of four elements: soil, water, plants and built features. This provides a framework for developing projects that respond to the character and potential of each location. The studio’s work includes gardens, projects for residential communities and institutions, and educational initiatives.
