Atelier Claire is a creative studio dedicated to embroidery and cartonnage, a craft involving the decoration and covering of board to make useful or decorative pieces. Founded with the aim of sharing the enjoyment of handmade work, the atelier offers classes in both crafts. Its focus is on helping people experience the pleasure of creating by hand, whether they are drawn to stitching, paper and fabric decoration, or the satisfaction of making something themselves.

The name Claire comes from a dream-filled girl who appears in Lilia Story, a drawing and novel by the founder’s daughter, Chihiro. The character reflects the studio’s gentle, imaginative spirit and its wish to preserve the enthusiasm and sense of wonder people feel when pursuing their interests as children. Atelier Claire encourages learners to keep that curiosity alive at any age and to continue seeing the world with bright, sparkling eyes. Information about the atelier is shared through Claire Diary.
