ATELIER HEDON

Atelier Hédon is a decorative painting studio based in Saint-Paterne-Racan, Touraine, led by Maximilien Hédon, a Maître Artisan d’Art. Trained at the École des Beaux-Arts de Tours and the École Française du Décor Peint du Mans, he established the atelier after graduating in 2013 with a specialization in traditional techniques. The studio creates custom decorative schemes for private interiors, professional spaces and heritage buildings, tailoring each project to the architecture, materials and character of the place.

Services include bespoke painted décor, trompe-l’œil, ornamentation, painted panoramas and contemporary compositions. Atelier Hédon also restores historic decorative features through methods such as cleaning, consolidation, pictorial reintegration and recreating lost designs. Its decorative skills include faux marble, wood and stone, grisaille, decorative lining, faux moldings, patinas and gilding.

Projects may begin with an on-site assessment, followed by samples or mock-ups to help clients consider design options. Working throughout Centre-Val de Loire and across France, the atelier serves homeowners, professionals and owners of historic properties, including châteaux and religious buildings
