ATELIER THIERY

Atelier Thiery is a family workshop founded by Patrick Thiery in 1971 and now carried forward by Céline, Sébastien and Clément. Combining inherited craftsmanship with contemporary creativity, the atelier specializes in gilding, painted decoration and high-end painting for distinctive projects. Its approach brings gold and mural decoration into unexpected settings while developing each commission in collaboration with clients.

The workshop restores traditional gilding in historic buildings, both indoors and outdoors, and applies gilding techniques to contemporary surfaces and materials. Its painted-decoration expertise covers the restoration of historic designs and the creation of custom trompe-l’œil finishes imitating marble, wood and stone. Atelier Thiery also provides carefully prepared painting and refined, durable finishes, selecting materials and methods to meet each project’s needs.

Its work spans interior architecture, doors, artworks and exceptional experiences. Projects can incorporate gold leaf, faux wood, patinas, material effects and églomisé glass, a gilded-glass technique. Alongside restoration, the atelier explores new applications and creates bespoke decorative work, bringing its expertise to projects that unite technical precision, tradition and invention.
