Atelier Waksu is an art embroidery studio specializing in bead embroidery, combining traditional craftsmanship learned in Lunéville, Lorraine, with contemporary artistic ideas. Every piece is made entirely by hand, without embroidery or sewing machines, and is created as a one-off work. Drawing inspiration from Art Deco, the 1970s, modern art, nature and other crafts, the studio develops original textile creations, decorative artworks and fashion accessories. Its collections explore varied themes and materials, including beads, sequins, silk threads and unconventional elements.
Atelier Waksu offers custom embroidery projects for individuals and professionals, including home décor, embroidered pictures, brooches, bag embellishments and jewelry. For fashion professionals and artisans, it can produce haute couture embroidery samples or embroider designs onto fabric and other supports. The studio also provides beginner and advanced instruction in traditional needle embroidery and Lunéville crochet, with sessions held at the learner’s home. Supplies for lessons are provided, and commissioned work is quoted according to the project.
