ATEMI Mont d'OR

ATEMI Mont d’Or is a French nonprofit association dedicated to traditional Chinese internal martial arts and movement practices. Founded in 1993, it began as a Japanese-style karate-do school and shifted its focus to Chinese martial arts in 2009. The association is affiliated with Cheng Ming International and serves as its French representative. Based in Saint-Germain-au-Mont-d’Or, it welcomes adults, children, and teenagers to explore practices that develop relaxation, well-being, body awareness, and effective movement.

Its regular classes include Qi Gong and Yang Sheng, Tai Chi Chuan, Chinese boxing, Tui Shou, and Chinese boxing for young people. ATEMI also offers themed workshops, stages, teacher training, and other special events throughout the season, alongside workplace and training-centre interventions. Course schedules, fees, registration information, and event calendars are available through the association. The organization shares educational resources, videos, articles, and accounts of its history and teaching approach, and provides opportunities to learn about its instructors, programme, and community. Its activities combine physical practice with attention to breath, posture, and mental focus.
