Athena Society

Athena Society is a brand dedicated to advancing the status of women through equality, acceptance, education, and opportunity. Since 1981, they have been identifying young women of promise from Hillsborough County and recognizing their outstanding achievements. As part of their commitment to community action, Athena Society has expanded its Phyllis Marshall Career Assistance Grants Program (CAG) to support 15 deserving recipients each year.

The members of Athena Society are accomplished and community-minded leaders from various fields, including businesses, professions, academic institutions, civic and philanthropic organizations, and governmental bodies. They actively engage in creating a forum for interaction and collaboration. Athena Society's mission is to improve the status of women by promoting equality, broader acceptance of women in business, professions, and positions of responsibility, and providing expanded educational and career development opportunities.
