ATHENA is a digital assistant for dental practices, developed and offered by DAMPSOFT. Its app supports patient communication and helps practices digitise key workflows, including medical history taking, consultation and treatment consent. Designed to work with any practice management software, ATHENA can be used as a standalone solution and integrates with systems such as DS-WIN, Z1, Evident and DENSOffice.

The platform lets practices collect medical histories using customisable forms for adults and children, available in eight languages. Patients can complete forms in the practice or, with the Smartphone Anamnese add-on, on their own device before an appointment. For consultations and patient education, ATHENA provides explanatory videos and images, while automatically documenting the topics discussed. Its dashboard supports form creation and offers statistics on collected information. An optional AI-powered X-ray check helps practitioners explain marked structures to patients.

DAMPSOFT also provides demonstrations, product support, training and related practice software. ATHENA aims to reduce paperwork and administrative effort while helping dental teams communicate clearly, document discussions and devote more time to patient care.
