Athena is a UK art retailer offering affordable wall art, prints and framed posters. Describing itself as Britain’s original art shop, the brand has been operating since 1964 and says its art is printed in the UK, with a curated selection handcrafted in Yorkshire. Its collection spans a wide range of themes, including botanical art, landscapes, music, travel, architecture, film, food and nature. Customers can also browse by artistic style, colour, room or location, making it easier to find pieces for spaces such as bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, living rooms and offices.
Athena sells prints by a roster of featured artists and offers ready-made gallery wall bundles for different rooms and themes. Its personalised range includes baby, wedding, family and pet prints, as well as photo-upload designs and options for creating custom text or song-inspired artwork. Framing choices include simple, premium, heritage, vintage and vintage beaded styles. For business customers, Athena supplies trade and wholesale art, with collections for restaurants, cafés, hotels, salons and healthcare settings.
