Athens Brazilian Jiujitsu

Athens Jiu Jitsu is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu school in Athens, Tennessee, serving students from early childhood through adulthood. Its programs introduce participants to martial arts in a supportive community, with instruction focused on self-defense, discipline, confidence, fitness, and mental resilience. The school says its nine black belt instructors bring more than 150 years of combined experience and aim to guide students at every stage of their training.

Programs include Little Champions for children ages 4–8, Junior Grapplers for ages 9–14, all-level adult classes, and Gi and No Gi fundamentals. Training is designed to help young students develop coordination, confidence, and sportsmanship, while adult classes build strength, practical self-defense skills, and overall health. Fundamentals classes provide an introduction to both Brazilian Jiu Jitsu styles.

New students can book a free trial and receive guidance on choosing a starting point. The school also offers memberships, scheduled classes, and drop-in access. Located at 201d Lawn Drive, Athens Jiu Jitsu welcomes people of varying experience levels and encourages them to train at a pace suited to their goals.
