Atherton Mountaineers

Atherton Mountaineers Masters Swimming Inc. is a community swimming club for adults aged over 18 who live near Atherton and enjoy swimming. Its motto, “Swimming with Lots of Fun, Fitness and Friendship,” reflects its focus on combining regular pool swimming with social connection. The club runs one squad session each week at Atherton Centenary Pool, located at 18 Robert Street in Atherton. Prospective and current swimmers can find information about the squad, training programmes and membership through the club’s website, alongside news, a gallery and a members’ page.

The club also hosts swimming events, including its Very Social Winter Swim. The 2024 carnival was presented as a fun, social occasion, with a distinctive approach to assessing performance. Event details and registration were provided through a flyer and nomination form. Atherton Mountaineers also features information about open water swims.
