The site includes an introduction to Atholl and a concise history of the wider region, tracing its story from early settlements and Scottish kingdoms through medieval estates and the 18th and 19th centuries to the present day. It also offers field notes on local stonework, old roads, and quieter places best explored on foot. These observations connect the built environment with the landscape and everyday rural life of earlier generations.
