Atlanta Military Figure Society

The Atlanta Military Figure Society (AMFS), established in 1975, is a passionate group of figure modeling enthusiasts dedicated to the art of military miniatures. What began as a small gathering at a local hobby shop evolved into an annual event that attracts enthusiasts from far and wide. The AMFS takes pride in educating and inspiring modelers through their extensive club newsletter, The Rebel Sabretache.

Although the newsletter transitioned with the times and new mediums emerged, the club's commitment to fostering the hobby of miniature figure painting remains unwavering. In 1995, the club underwent a reorganization and was renamed the Atlanta Military Figure Society (AMFS). With a fresh vision, they moved their meetings to Saturday mornings and incorporated more hands-on activities for members.

Their annual show also underwent revitalization, moving to prestigious venues such as the Crowne Plaza Atlanta-Powers Ferry and the Atlanta Marriott Century Center. Continuing their evolution, in 2023, the AMFS Show found its new home at the Atlanta Hilton-Northeast at Peachtree Corner. With a dedicated board and a passionate show committee, the AMFS remains at the forefront of the military figure modeling community, offering a platform for enthusiasts to connect, learn, and showcase their skills.
