Atlanta Photography Group

Atlanta Photography Group (APG) is an artist-initiated 501(c)(3) nonprofit membership organization established in 1987 to support Atlanta’s fine art photography community. Its mission is to help photographers develop artistically, foster an inclusive and vibrant community, and promote contemporary photography as a significant art form. APG serves photographers and others interested in contemporary photography through exhibitions, educational programs, and community events.

The APG Gallery presents exhibitions selected by photography curators, gallery owners, and other experts, and is free and open to the public. Photographers can submit work to APG’s calls for entry for exhibition opportunities and exposure. Members can take part in workshops, critiques, project reviews, artist talks, book signings, and other photocentric events designed to support creative and professional growth. APG also offers scholarships and programs including museum purchase awards, and hosts Eyes on Atlanta. The organization provides membership, sponsorship, and donation opportunities, alongside a shop, newsletter, blog, and professional directory. Through these activities, APG connects artists and audiences while creating platforms for photographic work and exchange.
