A Atlantic foi fundada em 1985 e está desde essa data ligada à área da navegação e ao agenciamento de navios e linhas regulares. A Lusofrete foi fundada em 1993 e teve ao longo da sua história uma posição de relevo no agenciamento de navios tanques nos portos de Leixões e Aveiro. A Atlantic já vinha ao longo dos anos a incorporar outras empresas congéneres que lhe foram sucessivamente acrescentando competências e cobertura geográfica. Após a fusão a Atlantic-Lusofrete oferece uma cobertura global dos portos em Portugal incluindo Leixões, Aveiro, Lisboa, Setúbal e Sines.
