Atlantsammenslutningen

Atlantsammenslutningen is an independent Danish public-information organisation focused on foreign, defence and security policy. Founded in 1950, following Denmark’s entry into NATO, it has a long-standing mission to inform the public and encourage open debate about international affairs and Denmark’s security. Its work addresses topics including NATO, European security, geopolitics, defence and international cooperation.

The organisation shares analysis and discussion through articles and publications, and aims to reach broad audiences through its website, television, podcasts and other channels. It also arranges conferences and seminars, and participates in lectures and panel discussions. Through its youth organisation, Youth Atlantic Treaty Association (YATA) Denmark, students organise events and give presentations at upper-secondary schools and other educational institutions.

Atlantsammenslutningen is part of the international Atlantic Treaty Association network, which brings together organisations from 37 countries. Its activities support informed public understanding of current security issues and provide opportunities for people, including young people, to engage with debates about defence and foreign policy.
