Atletický oddíl Hustopeče is an athletics club based in Hustopeče, Czech Republic, and part of TJ Agrotec Hustopeče. Founded in November 2011 as SK Atletika Hustopeče, the club was established to revive the town’s athletics tradition. It has grown from one coach and ten children to around 200 members supported by 13 coaches. Athletes are organized into ten age-based training groups, from athletics classes for the youngest children through younger and older preparatory groups to youth and junior athletes.
Training takes place at Hustopeče’s renovated municipal stadium, opened in July 2021, and during winter at the municipal sports hall and a local grammar school gym. The club works closely with CVČ Pavučina and TJ Agrotec Hustopeče. Since 2022, professional athletics coach Michal Pogány has also contributed, specializing in high jump and triple jump. The club is connected with the annual Hustopečské Skákání international high-jump meet. Families can find training-group information and enrollment documents on the club’s website; its yearly children’s recruitment takes place in September at the municipal stadium.
