Atletika Písek

Atletika Písek, z.s. is an athletics club registered with the Czech Athletics Federation and based in Písek, South Bohemia. The club provides athletics training for children and young people, welcoming new participants from the age of six, subject to space in its training groups. Younger athletes are placed in age-based groups and take part in varied, all-round sports preparation rather than early specialisation. Sessions use games and team challenges to introduce running, throwing and jumping. The club also supports athletes in more advanced training, with provision for long-distance runners and sprinters, and aims to maintain pathways for competitors preparing for Czech championship events.

Atletika Písek organises and hosts local athletics meets and running events, including the Písek Hour Run, Písek Mile, Tolerance Run and Run Around Amerika. It also participates in regional competitions and school sports events. The club shares training schedules, event information and membership guidance through its website. Eligible families may also be able to use South Bohemian regional support to help pay children’s membership fees.
