Atlohsa

Atlohsa Family Healing Services is a non-profit, charitable organization that has supported individuals and families across Southwestern Ontario and beyond since 1986. Its Indigenous-led programs aim to strengthen community and promote Mino Bimaadiziwin, or “The Good Way of Life,” through culturally grounded, holistic healing and wellness. Atlohsa provides low-barrier, wraparound support for people facing complex challenges, including mental wellness concerns, substance use, homelessness, domestic violence, and trauma. Its approach is strengths-based, trauma-informed, and informed by harm reduction, with access to Knowledge Keepers and land-based healing.

Services span family support, emergency shelter, housing, street outreach, youth diversion, and cultural support. Wellness offerings include mental health and Indigenous healing programs, anti-human trafficking support, and a healing lodge. The organization also provides restorative justice and release-from-custody support, alongside education and advocacy initiatives focused on Indigenous homelessness, cultural safety, and coordinated access. Atlohsa hosts community gatherings and events, including Truth and Reconciliation activities and the Atlohsa Peace Awards.
